In addition, the up-and-coming Whole Foods Market on 38th Avenue North will be a go-to spot for hungry shoppers. Because these are the only Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods in the area, this community is a top choice if you’re on the hunt for groceries.

The Old Northeast community is conveniently located near many of St. Petersburg’s attractions and activities. North Shore Park is an expansive bayfront park with more than 30 acres of activities and facilities. The park features a dog park, pier, sports and aquatic complex, and the Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum, with palm trees from around the world. 

The North Shore Aquatic Complex is a premier facility with several pools, a training space, a splash pad, a diving well, and a zero-entry pool. The large park also includes smaller parks like Flora Wylie Park, which hosts a local garden club and features a recreation trail along the bay, waterfront seating, and open lawns for leisure activities.
 

Schools

Pinellas County School District is a nationally recognized education system with excellent public schools and magnet programs that serves Old Northeast. The community is also close to many top-performing private schools with collegiate classes and preparatory programs.
