Old Northeast backs up to the flourishing 4th Street North, filled with restaurants and stores like coffee shops, pizzerias, juice bars, and seafood markets. The community is also close to downtown St. Pete, which has upscale dining options like Rococo Steak, Sea Salt, and Il Ritorno. Rococo Steak is a contemporary luxury steakhouse with a stately entrance and intimate dining space. The restaurant is known for its reimagined menu, modern steak dishes, and hundreds of award-winning wine options.

Granada Terrace Park is a popular waterfront park for entertainment such as festivals, weddings, and photoshoots due to the stunning arbors decorated with native flowers and flowing vines. Trader Joe’s is an accessible store on 4th Street North that has fresh organic produce, quality meats, and signature items. In addition, the up-and-coming Whole Foods Market on 38th Avenue North will be a go-to spot for hungry shoppers. Because these are the only Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods in the area, this community is a top choice if you’re on the hunt for groceries.

The Old Northeast community is conveniently located near many of St. Petersburg’s attractions and activities. Residents can explore the city’s vibrant downtown, take a boat ride and explore the bayfront, or take a walk along the waterfront. North Shore Park is an expansive bayfront park with more than 30 acres of activities and facilities. The park features a dog park, pier, sports and aquatic complex, and the Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum, with palm trees from around the world. 

The North Shore Aquatic Complex is a premier facility with several pools, a training space, a splash pad, a diving well, and a zero-entry pool. The large park also includes smaller parks like Flora Wylie Park, which hosts a local garden club and features a recreation trail along the bay, waterfront seating, and open lawns for leisure activities.


Pinellas County School District is a nationally recognized education system with excellent public schools and magnet programs that serves Old Northeast. The community is also close to many top-performing private schools with collegiate classes and preparatory programs.
